What the Halloween costume tool does

This page puts a person in a Halloween costume. Upload a selfie and the edit keeps the face while changing the clothes: vampire, witch, zombie, skeleton, pumpkin, an original superhero, ghost, werewolf, pirate, or a costume you type yourself. Skip the photo and the same list becomes a text-only portrait, which is the path for a costume idea before anyone poses.

The request people actually type is specific. “Turn my selfie into a witch costume” and “Halloween costume from a description, no upload” are both this form. Extra details cover the street, the light, or the angle. They do not replace the costume menu.

The photo is resized in the browser, sent with the request, and not stored on this site. The result is one picture, about 1K, in a portrait frame. Read the face and the costume before you share it.

How to make a costume picture

  1. Add a selfie, or leave it empty

A clear face, not a distant group, gives the edit something to keep. JPG, PNG, and WebP are accepted. If you only want a costume concept, leave the file empty and use text-only mode.

  2. Pick the costume

Vampire, witch, zombie, skeleton, pumpkin, superhero, ghost, werewolf, and pirate are ready. Custom is for a look that is not on the list, such as a velvet cape and a paper crown. Write that in the custom field.

  3. Add a place if it matters

“Evening street, warm window light, three-quarter view” tells the picture where to stand. Leave it blank for a simple setting. Do not paste a stack of unrelated instructions.

  4. Check the face, then open the image

With a selfie, the face should still be recognizable. With text only, you are judging the costume, not an identity. Open the full image if the preview is enough to decide.

Costume ideas people come here for

A selfie as a vampire

Upload a front-facing photo, choose vampire, and leave the extra line as an evening street. The long-tail request is a selfie turned into a vampire costume without a separate editor.

A witch with no photo

Leave the file empty, choose witch, and mention a pointed hat and a porch light. Text-only mode is for trying the costume before anyone is in the frame.

A custom paper crown

Choose custom and write “a velvet cape and a small paper crown.” The menu does not have that pair, so the custom line is the costume. Keep it to one outfit, not a story.

Tips for a costume that still looks like the photo

  • One person in the frame is easier to keep recognizable than a group.
  • Name the costume in the menu, and use the extra line for place and light.
  • Custom text should be the outfit, in a few words, not a second prompt that fights the menu.
  • If the face drifts, try a sharper selfie and fewer extra details.
  • The superhero option is an original costume. It will not copy a studio character.

Halloween costume questions

Can I make a Halloween costume without uploading a photo?

Yes. Leave the selfie empty, pick a costume or write a custom one, and generate. That is the text-only mode. Add a photo only when the result should be a specific person.

Which costumes are built in?

Vampire, witch, zombie, skeleton, pumpkin, superhero, ghost, werewolf, and pirate. Anything else goes in the custom field, in a short phrase.

Will the selfie still look like me?

The edit is asked to keep the face and the framing. A clear, front-facing photo does this better than a tiny or crowded one. Check the result before you share it.

Is the photo stored?

No. The browser resizes it and the server sends it on to make the picture. This site does not keep the upload.

Can I ask for a copyrighted superhero?

The superhero choice is an original cape and emblem, not a named studio character. Describe your own colors in the custom field if you want a specific original look.

How large is the picture?

About 1K, in a 3:4 portrait frame. Open the original from the result panel if you need the file rather than the preview.
